Kim Graham:

Some of you may know me as Farmer Kim from the time when my family operated Oxbow Farm in Dublin. I chronicled the ups and downs of our family farm in my “Starting from Scratch” column. Now I have taken on two new challenges, I am homeschooling our two children and I have started Go Monadnock.

I have lived in the #gomonadnock region with my family since 2002 and this region has so much to offer for families living here and families visiting. A few years ago we discussed the possibility of moving closer to Boston for my husband’s work but we just couldn’t sacrifice this quality of life for either ourselves or our kids.

A few years ago while working in Lowell, I was introduced to a website that was showcasing the best music and food and immediately I thought, “this is what we need for our community!”  Our lives are busy and we have all struggled to keep up with  the various activities around the greater Peterborough area- there is so much to do! What we have designed is a central hub for all of the large and small activities and events in the region, regardless of if you belong to a certain organization and regardless if you have a small or large-scale advertising budget, you are welcome to participate.

Jim Graham:

I am pretty much a “nose to the grindstone” kind of guy when it comes to my work. I work long hours and don’t have a lot of down time. When I have time for myself, you may find me on my deck with a glass of scotch and a cigar. If I am spending time with my family, I want to have a great meal or listen to a great live band. Maybe we will take the kids and go for a hike or check out a new ice cream spot.

There is so much to do in this area, but sometimes finding something to do last minute is a challenge. That is why I am excited to collaborate on this website. All of this information that I want is in one easy to find spot. That counts for a guy like me who can’t spend hours searching various websites or the newspaper.
