Understanding the Power and Value of Empathy: Practicing and Building Our Empathy Tool Box
This class will focus on how we learn to put empathy into day to day practice, in our work and community lives. Utilizing the debate process as a learning tool, there will be hands on exercises on exploration, further reading, personal exploration, case study analysis and creative problem solving.
The class will be reading The Origin of Others by Toni Morrison. This class is being led by Joel Green.
Joel Green – Joel has served in leadership and clinical roles providing services for people with disabilities, those who are homeless, live with mental illness, people living in poverty and veterans. He currently teaches psychology and sociology at Granite State College.
