CSA stands for community supported agriculture and is a system whereby members join at the onset of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest. We offer weekly shares of our superior-quality produce throughout the main growing season that are picked up at our field located in Mason, NH. Each week our members can expect a generous portion of what is currently available. Everything that we grow is included in our CSA with no additional add-on costs and everything that our members receive is grown or made by us. If we have an over-abundance of produce it is often shared with the Hillsborough County Gleaners so that it can be distributed to local food pantries.
Hungry Bear farm offers spring, summer and fall CSA shares. (SPRING IS SOLD OUT) All of the produce our customers receive is grown by us using regenerative agricultural practices. Members will receive weekly emails regarding what to expect in their baskets as well as occasional recipes. Our CSA system is designed with flexibility in mind. You never have to take anything you might not want and can swap out items if desired. Members are also encouraged to take the amount of offerings that best suits their needs. As an added bonus, our CSA members also receive discounts off the retail price of any additional produce purchased directly from us during their membership season.
We have summer and fall CSA shares currently available. They are both $30 per week. The summer season runs for 16 weeks and the fall for 6 with the totals costs being $480 and $180 respectively. Starting dates are TBD at this time and depend on when the 10 week spring CSA ends. We aim for a summer start date sometime in early June. You can choose to sign up online using the PayPal button on our website. We offer flexible payment plans and accept cash or checks made payable to Hungry Bear Farm, LLC and mailed to:
